I am a Mexican-American who comes from immigrant parents. I currently live in St. Paul, MN and have since I was a year old. I learned from a young age how to navigate my intersectional worlds like a dance. My artwork has become that dance, with ceramics, painting, and paper. It is a conversation or storytelling that mirrors the way I communicate; movement follows form or form movement. I have received my BA in studio arts and minors in sociology and anthropology from the University of Minnesota and recently finished the Core Fellowship at Penland School of Craft in NC. Currently, I look forward to continuing my practice through opportunities that allow me to continue to learn and explore my experience and craft.
